Cate and Andrew were married in October at St Mary’s church in Heathcote. Andrew and his family are from Padthaway in South Australia, where he and Cate now live. However Cate is originally from Derrinal, near Heathcote, and her family’s beautiful old property was the setting for this fantastic celebration. This was a big, beautiful country wedding, and topped my previous record for the biggest bridal party with an impressive 14 people in total! Getting to know Cate and Andrew, it became very clear that they’re all about family and friends, and that was reflected in their large bridal party and the day in general. Lots of very dear friends and family, lots of fun and big love! The magnificent family home has close to 100 years of history, and is called Kilmuir after a village in the Isle Of Skye.
Cate had decided she wanted her Aunty to help her get ready so she could surprise her bridesmaids once she was dressed. The girls reaction when they first saw her was spectacular. It’s no wonder really, because Cate looked absolutely stunning. It was so much fun photographing the girls…. there was a genuine buzz of excitement and they all looked so beautiful. So now I present to you a collection of images from Cate And Andrew’s gorgeous country wedding. All of the bridal party’s photographs were taken on the family property, and just for fun I have started the slideshow with my very favourite image of the day, taken in a paddock that was covered in capeweed. I know weeds are undesirable, but I was so excited to capture such wonderful, vibrant colours!

Thank you Cate and Andrew for allowing me to be part of your amazing wedding. From the moment I drove through the gates of Kilmuir I knew I was in for a truly special day. I am a sentimental soul and just adore history, especially when it’s connected with family. I thought your wedding was just so beautiful, and really appreciated the simple elegance of all the details. You had clearly put so much thought and effort into planning this day, and it really showed. I hope you enjoy this preview of your photographs!
