Here are some of my favourite images from the day, starting in the morning with Michael and the boys getting ready in an amazing old Bed & Breakfast called Bishop’s Court. What a fantastic old home! There was even a games room with old pinball machines and a billiard table. Such a great environment for cool shots of the guys!

Kat & Michael… this was such a fantastic day.  I applaud you for being brave enough to choose July for your wedding, a decision that certainly worked out brilliantly! I just love Winter weddings… I love the colours, the bare trees and the light which just seems to be different at this time of the year. You are a really sweet couple, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time photographing you, your gorgeous wedding party and lovely families on your wedding day.

Pam and Matt are a gorgeous couple who were married in Bendigo on October 4th 2008 in a beautiful ceremony at the Forrest Street Uniting Church, with a reception held that evening at Hunter House. Pam and her bridesmaids got ready in one of the suites at Hunter House.

I love the serene look on Pam’s face, as her sister helps her with her jewellry. She is so elegant, and very beautiful!

Pam and her bridesmaids are simply glowing. What a beautiful group of ladies. I love the musk pink dresses and their peaches and cream skin tones contrasting with the blue walls in this room. It really is a beautiful setting.

The guys were very keen to have a quick game of French cricket in the back yard… a somewhat novel way of settling the nerves! I love it when I am able to capture moments like this on a wedding day. This is what these guys normally love to do whenever they get together, so why should this day be different? They’re just don’t normally do it in suits!
 Ha ha ha ha…. hilarious! I LOVE it.

The wedding ceremony. This beautiful old church, Forrest Street Uniting, has a fantastic balcony that runs all the way around the top. My second shooter Sue took this great image from up on the balcony.

Really, it can’t be easy running in a dress like that. I can’t say that I’ve ever tried it, yet I often ask my couple to run for me. Oh well… it’s such a great shot, with movement and natural fun expressions. Yep, I’ll keep on asking.

I like to mix things up a bit, and include some varied locations. With the sun sinking lower, we moved on to a lovely grassy, treed area for some romantic images of Pam and Matt.

Back to Hunter House, with a little time left before the reception started. I climbed the railing and stood out on the roof to capture this image.

This is favourite image of the day. It says worlds about how these two lovely people feel about one another.

It was such a beautiful day, and Pam, Matt and all of their bridal party were great fun to be around. I feel very lucky to have been part of their special celebration. It’s an easy task to take beautiful, romantic images of a couple who look at each other the way these two people do.
