I should start by saying that I absolutely LOVE photographing babies, especially newborns. They have a beauty and vulnerability that takes my breath away. There's such a brief moment in life that a baby has that 'newborn' look, I feel it's a privilege to capture it.

I am very mindful when photographing very young babies. I suggest frequent breaks to feed, comfort and relax little ones. Usually if the studio is lovely and warm and baby has a tummy full of milk, they make fantastic models. Portraits taken with Mum and Dad are very special, and those taken with young siblings are simply priceless. All the babies in this gallery are under 12 weeks old.
